Regular Season Round 5: Sigulda - Torun 36-83

Very predictable result when 46th ranked PolishTorun (2-2) outscored bottom-ranked Latvian Sigulda (0-5) 83-36 on Saturday. The game without a history. Torun led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sigulda to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Torun held Sigulda to an opponent 22.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 46.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Torun forced 30 Sigulda turnovers. Antoni Cichal stepped up and scored 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Borys Lampkowski chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Torun players scored in double figures. Aleksis Putns responded with 8 points and 9 rebounds and Emils Vikmanis scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
